SAN DIEGO — Protesters took to the streets Tuesday to oppose a federal crackdown on medical marijuana dispensaries.
 
Later in the day the city announced a Superior Court judge issued a ruling on Monday that the stores are prohibited by the municipal code in San Diego — a ruling similar to one he made last week.

WASHINGTON -- Fifty percent of Americans favor legalizing marijuana, according to a new Gallup poll, a record high. And those numbers, up from just 36 percent in 2006, could have significant implications for state and national marijuana policy.

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Less than a week after federal officials said they were cracking down on marijuana-related businesses in California, a well-known Mendocino County dispensary was raided on Thursday.
 
Agents with the Drug Enforcement Agency were reported to be raiding the garden of Northstone Organics in Mendocino County, according to a report from California NORML.
